Developing options for a public consultation

This interactive training session provides participants with practical tools and frameworks to develop well-structured and transparent options selection processes, strengthening the credibility of public consultations through a clear, evidence-based decision-making approach.

The session explores how to generate a long list of options, assess viability, refine the shortlist, and present final options transparently. Participants will engage in practical exercises to apply key concepts to real-world scenarios.

At the end of the session, participants will:
  • Understand the importance of a structured options selection process.
  • Be able to develop a comprehensive long list of potential solutions.
  • Be able to assess and refine options using essential and desirable criteria.
  • Be able to select and present options effectively for public consultation.
